Eclairs, New AG outfit, AG Bear

Location: Bedroom
Movie: Turn Back Time: The High Street
Book: American Girl: Girl of Today; Marisol!
Mood: Chipper

Last week or the week before, I found the cutest idea on pinterest for a renaissance outfit for American Girl Dolls. So I decided to make my own. Here it is. Caroline looks so cute in it! I made the whole outfit. Except for the reticule. Which is part of Caroline's accessories. The bodice didnt quite turn out the way I wanted it. but I like everything else. I think this may be one of my best outfits yet!

And yesterday I found a Miss AG Bear at the thrift store! She doesnt have her vest. However, I think I can remake that easily. She was only ten dollars. And such a brilliant find! Isnt she cute?

I also made a cute little Drink Me Bottle Charm from Alice in Wonderland. It turned out real well. Its so cute lol.

And yesterday my sister and I made these sweet little Chocolate Eclairs. They turned out so well! We were very happy with them

And here is the youtube video we went off of for the Eclairs.

Currently I have a few more projects going, I hope to get them all done and posted up here :)

A Tote Bag and Clutch

I've had alot of time off this week, so I made, a few cute crafts and thought I would pop them up on my blog for all to see.

Last week we went to one of the local libraries and they had a whole bunch of free American Girl Magazines! Most of which I did not have. So I picked them up of course! In one of the magazines (I do not remember what one right now) They had an idea for using a mini tote bag as a lunch mag. So I thought "Hey! Thats a great idea! I decided to make my own mini tote bag/ lunch bag. It turned out so cute. Here it is!

It has a matching liner on the inside. The penguin charm, was made by my sister! Isnt it cute?

I also made a cute little mini clutch purse from Kit's Friendship Fun. I'm not entirely sure I like it yet or what I am going to do with it. But here it is anyway.

I suppose it is kinda cute. But my blanket stitching needs some work lol. Oh and yesterday, I spent most of the day watching BBC's Wartime Farm. Its kinda like Victorian and Edwardian Farm. Only it takes place in WW2. It was brilliantly g! I highly recommend it! You can watch it here. :) Well, you can watch the first episode anyway. The rest are also on youtube.

Here's to Never Growing Up~ Avril Lavigne

Disney's MIttens Game Review!

I normally dont do Iphone Game reviews. But this new game from Disney is so cute, I had to do one.

In Disney's New Game Mittens, you get to play a cat, who has to go through certain levels and get diamonds and milk bottles. There is some cute little music in the background and the cat does this funky little dance every time he gets a bottle. Its so cute lol. I highly recommend everyone go get it! Plus, it's only a dollar lol

Its such a cute game hehe. And pretty easy to play too.

Best Friends Forever!!!

Okay so the other day I came across this very cute song and I had to put it up here lol. I still love Veggie Tales after all these years. I cant help it lol.

Cheesy Omelet (Samantha's Friendship Fun Recipe)

 Cheesy Omelet
(From: American Girl, Samantha’s Friendship Fun page 42)

Ingredients
6 eggs
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup shredded cheese
Serves 2 to 3 omelets

Instructions:
1.       Crack the eggs into the mixing bowl. Use the fork to beat the eggs until they are well mixed.

2.       Add the salt, pepper, and water. Continue beating the mixture with the fork until it is foamy.

3.       Melt the butter in the skillet over medium- high until it is bubbly. Be careful not to let the butter burn.
4.       Carefully pour the egg mixture into the skillet

5.       As the egg mixture cooks, use the spatula to push it gently towards the middle of the skillet. Have an ad adult help you tilt the pan slightly so the uncooked part of the mixture moves to the outside.

6.       When the bottom of the omelet is lightly browned, and the eggs are firm, sprinkle the grated cheese over the half of the omelet.

7.       Have an adult help you lift and fold the other half of the omelet over the cheese.

8.       Lower the heat to medium low and allow the omelet to cook until the cheese is fully melted, about two minutes.

9.       Have an adult help you slide the omelet out of the pan and onto the serving dish. Serve the omelet while it is hot.

Joanna’s notes:
I always use milk instead of water. I also add a dash of onion salt, zesty garlic spices, and sometimes depending on my mood I add, onions and green peppers. I always fry these in olive oil first. I also add a hand full of bacon bits to the omelet. And have found that using different types of cheese adds to the flavor.

City of Bones and American Girl Outfit

Yep, I cannot seem to keep up with my blog. This is really horrible of me, I know. Truth is, I guess I just havent felt like blogging. However, (I know I've said this before,) I do plan on trying to keep up with it. Okay, so on with the crafts and stuff.

First off, I recently read, Cassandra Clare's City of Bones! I have to say, I just loved it, and I cannot wait for the movie. The book is about a girl who is suddenly thrust into a world hidden in our own. Where demons, and fairies and all kinds of other creatures exist. Its a pretty fast pacing, great story. The movie looks like it's staying pretty close to the book. I highly recommend this book! You can check out the author's website here. http://www.cassandraclare.com/

okay, onto the first craft. I believe last month was when American Girl came out with their new items. The outfit had a cute little shirt and shorts. Rather than buy the outfit, I thought I'd try and make it, using Liberty Jane patterns.  I think my version came out really cute! I was pretty happy with it!

Here is the original outfit. You can also buy it here. http://store.americangirl.com/agshop/html/item/id/217643/uid/91

And here is my version with Saige wearing it. :)

Doesnt it look pretty close to the American Girl one? I'm pretty pleased with myself over it.

Anyway, as everyone knows, I finally got my hands on a used premattel, Weste Germany, Felicity! However, she needed some TLC. I found a video on youtube on how to give your American Girl Doll a Downy dunk. Which is basically carefully dunking the doll's hair in Downy. I used a spray bottle on Felicity. Felt safer doing it that way. And her hair looks so much better. I also managed to redo her pin curls. I found her new Meet Dress on ebay. Made her mob cap and choker, along with a cute little reticule. All in all, she looks so much better than she did before. Here she is! The choker could be a bit smaller and a lighter purple.

Okay, well there is my mini update. I havent done a whole lot of crafting besides that. Hopefully, in the next coming weeks I'll be able to make more fun things to share.

Kaya's Tepee and more!

well its that time again. Yep, I've decided to update my blog lol.

A few weeks ago my family and I finally went into Anchorage for the first time in like forever. Anchorage, for those of you who dont know, is really were everything is. We go every few months to go to Sams and the craft stores. When we went to Micheal's, they had a whole bunch of new American Girl Craft stuff. One of the things I found was Saige's dog! Here it is!

Isnt he cute? These craft kits are really neat. They come with everything you need to make the craft, plus instructions.

A few weeks ago, I was browsing a website called Disney Dreaming. They do alot of updates on disney movies and what not. I found this picture of Selena Gomez, wearing a pretty cool outfit, that I could recreate it for Saige.

Here is the picture of Selena Gomez.

And here is my version of it, for Saige. I used patterns from Liberty Jane for the outfit. and made the necklace and bracelet. All in all, I think it came out really well. :)

Oh and I also made a tepee for Kaya! Its not exactly finished yet. But here is the beginning stage of it.

I want to make her a little drum, a fireplace, and a few other things. Plus I want to see if I can get the tepee to look a bit better. But for now, it looks pretty cute :)

Oooh yes, I almost forgot. I also made a new case for my kindles! I decided that because I now have a Kindle Fire and a Kindle Reader, I needed one of those fold over cases. With two pockets. Only, I also put a piece of felt in between the pockets so the kindles screens dont get scratched. I really like how it turned out.

And finally because I forgot to post it earlier, I made another cute outfit for Saige a few weeks ago. It started with just a pair of overalls and somehow ended up to having lots of other aspects. I kinda got the idea from my Mary Jane Farm magazines lol.

Isnt it cute? Inside the bag there is all sorts of little accessories I made for her. Maybe one of these days I'll take a picture of those too. Some of the patterns I used for this outfit are also from Liberty Janes. Except the overalls. Thats from a simplicity pattern. And the apron i made myself. The bag is from American Girl: Molly's patterns.

Cyanne and Ponyo Ramen!

Location: Bedroom

Book: Beautiful Chaos

I thought today, I would post about something other than American Girl lol. Which seems to be what I've  been posting alot about lately. Dont ask me why.

Anyway, sometime, last month, I came across the cutest little doll at Target for five dollars! She was in the clarence isle after the Christmas Sales and I had to have her. Her name is Cyanne: Vival La France. She is a La Dee Da doll.

Isnt she cute? She's supposed to be 16 years old and a fashion designer. I love her little hair fastener. Each little doll also comes with a craft you can make. Which is totally awesome for someone like me who loves to make crafts. Speaking of which, I did make something the other day.

Yeah the picture is upside down. Oh well. Anyway, for lunch at work the other day I decided to try and make Ponyo Ramen! Which I found instructions for off Feast of Fiction which has turned into my favorite youtube channel lately. Here is the video!

It makes for a nice lunch at any rate. Quick and easy especially if everything is already cut up and made. I suggest everyone try it lol.

Wow two months????

Location: Bedroom
Music: Pixie Hollow Game Site music
Mood: Chipper
Book: Beautiful Chaos

Wow, has it really been two months since I last posted here? I'm such a horrible blogger lately. I dont even know why. I'm still writing posts at panhistoria and doing lots of crafts. I'm still reading my books and even writing little diddys of my own. I've also gotten two new American Girl Dolls. So one would think that I would have posted all this. Instead, I've been lazy. Oh well. here's to trying to start to blog more lol.

Okay so on with the new stuff. Like I said, I have recently gotten two new American Girl Dolls. I bet you're wondering what ones I got. Drum roll please.... Dum, Dum, Dum... LOL

Yep, that's right! The first or second week of January, I was able to get the New American Girl Doll, American Girl of the year 2013: Saige! She's so sweet. I love her. She has freckles and comes with an adorable little ring as an accessory, and best of all, her ears are pierced! She loves horses and art. And she lives in New Mexico! Plus, there is going to be a movie about her! Staring none other than Jane Seymour! I cant wait for that!

Now on to the next doll! lol.

A few weeks ago I also got Kaya! I have been wanting her for a while, and I'm so glad I finally got her. She is a Nez Pierce Girl from 1764. So far I've only read her first book. But in it, she gets into so much trouble. I cant wait to get the next books. Isnt she a sweet doll? here are some Nez Pierce Words from the book.

aa-heh: Yes thats right
Hanyawa''aat: The Creator
Katsee- yow-yow: Thankyou
Nimiipuu: The People or the Nez Pierce name for themselves.
Tawts: Good
Tawts may- we: Goodmorning

Okay, now for the crafts I've been doing. Here is the first one!

Yep, I attempted a Silhouette of Caroline and her skiff! A skiff is a tiny boat. I found this awesome tutorial on how to do this on youtube. I think it turned out pretty well, considering how I havent done something like this. The lettering could be better. But all and all its a good craft. here is the youtube video.

I also made a couple Sew and Shares from American Girl. They're so cute and easy to make. I love making them and giving one to my sister lol.

Finally, I also attempted my hand at making a tiny rag doll. She turned out so cute. I named her Little Susie because she's only 6 inches tall.

Enverything I made for Susie's outfit is mostly from my own workings. I only had a pattern for the doll and dress. She's so cute. She may become my new mascot lol.

Oh and last but not least, I finally found a Shirley Temple movie I have been looking for, for ages on youtube. Its one I havent seen yet and I finally watched it last night! Here it is! Its a great movie. Not as good as some of her others. But still great!

Wew, that ended up being a long post. Well, thats what I get for not posting in two months. I am going to really try and make it once a day now.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!
